1926 Chicago, Aurora & Elgin Railroad or the "Sunset Lines" Poster, "Lord's Park - Elgin"" by Norman Erickson. The CAE railroad,nicknamed the Sunset Lines, was abandoned in 1961. However in 1963 the concept to transform the line into a bike path, the Illinois Prairie Path, was put forth by May Theilgaard Watts, then a Staff Naturalist of the Morton Arboretum, and one of the first Rails to Trails was born.
